The Town of Murphy, as required by law, is issuing an updated report on our System Development Fees (SDF's). SDF's are what the town charges new water/sewer customers to connect to the system. The Town is using the "buy-in" method, where new customers are buying their proportionate share of system capacity from the existing customer base. The methodology is explained in the published report. The Town must have a public comment period for at least 45 days before adopting the study and setting new SDF rates. The Town is encouraging as much input from the public as possible.
