Come celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Murphy, NC. The season kicks off with Shop Small Weekend. Come support locally-owned businesses for your holiday shopping. Included in the season will be the Murphy Art Walk, the Murphy Christmas Tree Lighting, the Murphy Christmas Parade, a Selfie Scavenger Hunt, and multiple opportunities to meet Santa.
There is no admission charge and lots of good, small-town FUN!
Shop Small Downtown Dollars

- Spend $50 at participating retailers and receive a $10 coupon (Downtown Dollars) to use on a future purchase. These coupons can be used at any of the participating retailers.

Start of Selfie Scavenger Hunt

The Murphy Business Association is hosting a "Selfie Scavenger Hunt" with downtown retailers and restaurants. The scavenger hunt begins on Saturday, November 29 and concludes on Saturday December 13.
Murphy Art Walk
- There will be music throughout downtown, arts and crafts on the sidewalks, performances, art demonstrations, and interactive experiences for the kids.

December 5 the Murphy Art Walk will have extended hours from 1 PM – 8 PM – rain or shine.
Murphy Christmas Tree Lighting: 5:30-6:00
- Come celebrate with us as we "Light" the Town of Murphy Christmas Tree in Downtown Murphy!
- Entertainment will begin at 5:30pm and will end with a Christmas Carol sing-a-long before the tree is "lit" at 6:00pm.
Murphy Christmas Parade at 6pm
- The annual Murphy Christmas Parade is a true, community event! Come out for music, lights and laughter as floats, trucks, and tractors travel from the Valley Village Shopping Center to the L&N Depot. There are safe places to watch along the whole route. Bring the whole family and watch for Santa at the end!

Meet Santa by the Tree: 3pm-6pm
- Come meet Santa by the Murphy Christmas Tree on Thursday, December 11 from 3pm to 6pm!
- Santa will be in his sleigh waiting for visitors!
- Come talk to Santa and get your photo taken with a professional photographer for free. Thank you to the Cherokee County Art Council for providing this service

Second Saturday Shop & Sip: 2-5pm
- Come Shop & Sip in Downtown Murphy, NC the Second Saturday of the month from 2pm to 5pm!
- This series of events is presented by the retailers of Downtown Murphy, NC and Main Street Murphy. Retailers will be providing refreshments, special sales, raffles, and fun.
- Come support the small, locally-owned retailers of Downtown Murphy. They cannot survive without you!
